Oxbow is an AKC registered kennel name. We've  been breeding and showing springers for over 20 years. During that time our focus has been on researching and learning all we can, while producing a few top quality litters where health clearances on all sires and dams have been completed. We strive to produce a good all around springer with each breeding and only breed a litter when we want to keep something for ourselves. We have produced many champions from our limited litters, including some grand champions and one bronze Grand champion.  You can see about our dogs and their accomplishments from the "Our Dogs" link. We are located near Gresham, Oregon.

We have many beautiful Springers in companion homes and a few have gone to show homes. Some owners chose to compete in rally, obedience, agility, as well as other dog sports.  Springers are very intelligent and quick learners. They are most happy when they are with their owners and we expect that any puppies leaving here will be inside dogs enjoying life with their families.

In 2015 after study and research, we decided to import several springers from Sweden, Denmark, and UK bloodlines. We wanted to learn about springers as the rest of the world sees them in their country. The parents of the dogs we have brought here are all champions in their own countries and have all health clearances as well. They also bring with them a full tail because docking is not allowed in the other countries and we chose not to dock at an older age. We are enjoying their dark liver color, ticking, freckles, sweet personalities and wagging tails.

Our dogs are bred for conformation (show ring) and obedience and are wonderful family companions. Some do enjoy casual upland bird hunting, but a field bred springer is a more appropriate choice for serious hunters.
